About

Greetings all!

Here is a little bit about me, what I am about and what I bring to teaching. Thanks for your curiosity in connecting with me here.

I am wife to a marvelous gentle partner for the past 25 years and counting, a mommy to three kiddos who are my greatest teachers and inspiration. I’m the daughter of a loving and resilient lineage of mothers and fathers who immigrated to Canada from Poland in the 1960s, and friend to a beautiful community of people who I have had the privilege of finding around the world.   I am a Registered Massage Therapist with 20 years of experience in the field, and a graduate of Religious Studies from the University of Waterloo with a specialty in Eastern Spirituality and the Roman Catholic female mystical tradition.

I have been practicing yoga for over 25 years, and teaching for over 20. I have trained in a wide variety of styles, with Kundalini being my passion for the past 15 years. I have attended numerous trainings and annual gatherings in the Kundalini community throughout North America. I completed an intensive Kundalini Yoga teacher training through the Kundalini Yoga Research Institute (KRI), with Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa and Gurshabd Singh in Rishikesh India.   I teach Kundalini Yoga classes in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada in a beautiful home studio where I hold several classes a week.  I run workshops and Kundalini Happenings throughout Ontario, Canada and am available to teach or speak throughout North and Central America and internationally.

Kundalini yoga is a passion for me.  Along with Bhakti yoga it has been the most powerfully transformational tool in my life.  I have been blessed to learn from many incredible teachers from around the world and had the freedom to practice and explore these traditions. It is my duty and calling to teach this practice.   Kundalini and Bhakti have allowed me to really “get” connection to spirit, infinity, divinity and energy.  Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, in its dynamic combination of  movement, mudra, pranayama, meditation, mantra, music, dance, breath and deep introspection has been my primary course of study and practice.  It is this practice that saved me in one of the deepest traumas of my life.  It continues to be a practice that gives me strength, peace, and understanding regardless of what shows up in life.

Via the body (our vehicle for transformation) mind and spirit, we are able to get to all those places within that have been buried, waiting for us to call them to the surface to be made clear in the light.  In these practices we call forward all that needs to be surrendered and then via our own efforts are able to release, reveal and breathe into space, connection and freedom.  One of the key mantras of this practice is “bountiful, beautiful and blissful”. Kundalini yoga helps us bring this into our being through powerful movement, intense internal exploration and song.

This yoga was brought to the west by Yogi Bhajan and his intention was to spread this love of life, your own precious unique life, through this powerful practice. My favorite quote from Yogi Bhajan sums it up,

“Don’t find the the master, be the master.”

If you feel moved, please ask me any questions and come and join in on some classes. I teach open workshops in KW and surrounding communities which are an excellent introduction to the practice, updates are posted here regularly.  All classes are by registration only, and are held at my studio in Waterloo, Ontario. Bright Blessings,

Kasia
