We are the Light: A Winter Solstice Kundalini Yoga Gathering, December 21st.
Come and Celebrate the shortest day and the longest night in this special Winter Solstice Kundalini Yoga class.
Friday, December 21st, 7:30 to 10pm, The Button Factory Arts, 25 Regina Street in Waterloo.
The Winter Solstice is a important occasion in the Kundalini Yoga tradition, it is a time to gather together in community, meditate, move and sing. We hold vigil with one another as we usher in the longest night, which gives birth to the return of the light as the days begin to increase in length after this celestial point. The sun is reborn! This lesson of this cycle of the season exists within all of us, the movement from our own darkness to light, to awakening. It is a time to celebrate and remember that we are the light and to shine it bright.
Come experience Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness as taught by Yogi Bhajan. Kasia Kord (Seva Akal Kaur) is a certified KRI Kundalini instructor and holds regular classes in Kitchener-Waterloo, as well as hosting events and retreats around Ontario and Panama. All levels of experience are welcome in this class. Bring a mat and something cozy to sit on such as a blanket and meditation cushion.
We will also be having a sound bath experience this year.
Relax, integrate and enjoy the sweet vibrations of live guitar and hand pan music by Barret Tinney and Kasia Kord.
This is the perfect class for those curious about this practice.
We have planned such a beautiful evening, please come and join us, all are welcome here.
Humans under 15 are free, please let me know so I can accommodate the space.
