Waterloo Winter Solstice Kundalini Celebration, December 15th.
Come and Celebrate the shortest day and the longest night in this special Winter Solstice Kundalini Yoga Workshop.
December 15th, 7 to 9pm, The Button Factory Arts on Regina Street in Waterloo.
The Winter Solstice is a important occasion in the Kundalini Yoga tradition, it is a time to gather together in community, meditate, move and sing. We hold vigil with one another as we usher in the longest night, which gives birth to the return of the light as the days begin to increase in length after this celestial point. The sun is reborn! This lesson of this cycle of the season exists within all of us, the movement from our own darkness to light, to awakening. It is a time to celebrate and remember that we are the light and to shine it bright.
Come experience Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness as taught by Yogi Bhajan. Kasia Kord (Seva Akal Kaur) is a certified KRI Kundalini instructor and holds regular classes in Kitchener-Waterloo, as well as hosting events and retreats around Ontario and Panama. All levels of experience are welcome in this class. Bring a mat and something cozy to sit on such as a blanket and meditation cushion.
This is the perfect class for those curious about this practice.
As a special guest we will have sound healer Ann Robillard lead us through a sound meditation as a gift of healing and vibration to end our night together. Ann is a certified Sound Therapist, Yoga & Meditation instructor who has traveled the world sharing teachings from Bali and India and is now based in her hometown of Port Dover, Ontario.
We have planned such a beautiful evening, please come and join us, all are welcome here.
